PARMALAT CANADA APPOINTS NEW CEO
TORONTO – (March 27, 2006) – Parmalat Canada today announced that Alnashir (Nash) Lakha has been appointed President and CEO of the company.
“We’re delighted that Nash will be leading our Canadian operations,” said Carlo Prevedini, Chairman of Parmalat Canada. “His integrity coupled with long-term leadership and experience with Parmalat will assist in maintaining our position as one of Canada’s pre-eminent food and dairy producers.”
Mr. Lakha has a 25-year history with the Parmalat group of companies. He has played a vital leadership role as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Parmalat Canada – a position he has held since 2002. Mr. Lakha is a Chartered Director, a Chartered Management Accountant from the U.K. and a Certified Management Accountant. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario Executive Management Program and has completed numerous post development courses at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and University of Western Ontario.
